Hiking with Mo and his Rad Backpack Tips
Woof! Mo here again! Today we’re headed out for a H.I.K.E. When will Susan learn that I am a smart dog and I know we’re headed for an adventure! New smells! Running ahead! More treats! Arroooyay!
Actually my clue that an adventure is coming my way is that my backpack is out! Hehe. My backpack is so rad and I get to carry my own water and treats. Wish I could figure out how to get to those treats whenever I want. Maybe if I tried rolling around and wiggling to get them to fall out or turning my head side to side. That would be funny! Susan’d be laughing. The only thing that works is to listen for when Susan calls me and her commands. Then I get rewarded TREATS!
I could daydream all day about food and treats. Are you like that too? Anyway, let’s get back to my cool backpack, it’s made by Outward Hound. Here’s a picture of me:
At first I started wearing my pack whenever we went walking. I feel so confident and handsome. Nothing like lookin’ good on the trail, right?
TIP: Did you know that my backpack can calm me when I’m feeling anxious. Many dogs like those ThunderShirts for the same calming effect. It is like a security blanket!
TIP: You can’t see it, but Susan has put a lambskin strap cover on the pack’s chest strap. That’s so it won’t rub a sore spot on my skin where I have little to no hair. It’s made for horse halters, here’s a picture:
We went hiking with Susan’s friend Elizabeth today. Elizabeth has a C.A.T. named Mabel. I don’t know why Susan bothers spelling that one out, I could care less about C.A.T.s. No, Mabel didn’t come hiking too. That would have been a crazy hike. Mabel is famous because she’s on Instagram @mabel_theexotic. Here’s the picture Susan painted of Mabel:
My tail is waggin’ and I’m happy you got to go hiking with us today.
Next time I’ll be talking about staying at my dog sitter’s, Uncle Nick, whom I LOVE!!
Bark for now. Your pal, Mo
