Mo's Slurpy! Yummy! Bowl of Dog Food Mix and Spiral Bowl

It’s Mo here again. I’m sure you figured out which painting is of me from Susan’s website. Yup, I’m the handsome, yet worried looking, Red Nosed Pitbull. Do you worry? I worry about why squirrels are so crazy. I’m also NOT a big fan of skateboards or scooters, they are so unpredictable and loud.

Hey, but that’s not what I wanted to talk about today! Today is my favorite subject: FOOOOD!!!! Arroooyay! Food! Ok, I better settle down now. Susan feeds me twice a day. Once in the morning and again in the afternoon. Plus treats! Oh, and cool, clean, fresh water!

TIPS: I weigh 80 pounds and I am VERY active. Our vet says I’m the perfect weight and body-fat. Here is a good chart for how much to feed us dogs based on weight and size from PetMed.com.

So like I talked about and love to think about, Susan feeds me twice a day a mix of:

2 c of Kirkland’s Chicken, Rice & Vegetable adult large dog food kibble,

1/2 c Paul Newman’s wet dogfood,

1 tsp of Missing Link supplement for my coat and skin,

1/2 c of water. Mix it all together.

It’s a healthy, fragrant, slurpy bowl of YUM!

I eat pretty fast. To slow me down Susan puts my food in a special spiral bowl. It looks like this:

Sometimes we drive over to the feed store together. Well, technically Susan drives and I just whinny because I’m so excited. That’s where my treats come from. There is a big barrel of mini, multi-flavored milk bones that Susan scoops up into a bag. I like the mini ones because they’re more fun to catch when she tosses them in the air. Snap!

And not to be confused with a rabbit, no way am I anything like a bunny, but I sure love those mini carrots!! Crunch! Sometime I leave little bits on the floor for Susan to step on with her bare feet. She always makes a funny face when that happens.

Next month I’ll talk about walks on the trail with Susan and fetching sticks she throws for me.
Bark for now. Your pal, Mo
