Owies & Cookies!

Hello again from your pal Mo! It’s a fresh new year and so many new adventures ahead. I had a wild adventure chasing a jackrabbit! Woohoo that was a fast and far chase over a hill and down a valley and through tall dried grass and around scraggly bushes!!! Super exciting and I almost had that furry wabbit. But I got stopped by something super painful. Susan said it is barbed wire. When I finally wander toward Susan calling me, I couldn’t tell whether she was happy to see me or if I was in major trouble.

I was a bloody mess. The barbed wire caught me on my chest, back, and legs. Luckily my head went trough an opening and didn’t’ get cut up. Susan made sure there was nothing inside the cuts and then cleaned up my cuts with:

~Antibacterial soap and water

~Then some rubbing alcohol which made me squirm.

~She also put some antibacterial ointment on my cuts so they’d heal up nicely.

~Luckily the doctor in our family said that I didn’t need stitches.

~Susan continued watching for infection and to see that they healed well. Which they did!

Here’s a picture of my owies healing up.

Oh well, I’m a goofy dog, and soon I’d forgotten all about it. I was ready for a treat. My pals Sammie and Gunner have an awesome human mom who makes them cookies from scratch. She gave Susan a whole bag of treats she’d made and they were all for MEEEE!! YUMSCRUMPTIOUS!!

Here are the links to the recipes she uses for homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats made with pumpkin, peanut butter, eggs and flour and Simple Simon Birthday Bones made with flour, baking powder, peanut butter, and skim milk. This picture of some of the treats my friends’ mom made all lined up and ready for some chompin’ makes me drool.

Susan got to paint portraits of my friends Sammie and Gunner too! Here they are. Cuddly Show Sheepdogs!!

Keep your tail a waggin’!

Bark for now. Your pal, Mo
