Easter Happiness
Hello again from your pal Mo! We finally have sunshine and I’m loving it. Today is Easter and it has been the best day. I got to walk on the trail for an hour with Susan, come home and snooze on the deck in the sun, and just now my other human pal, Jordan, took me for a run (more on the run later) . It is the happiest dog gone day!
So I thought I’d bark a bit about walking, running, stretching, fetching . . . you know, exercise! Oh, I bet you let out a happy little arroo-bark didn’t you? You love to have exercise fun too, right!? I am happy and relaxed when I get the right amount of exercise! I bet that’s true for you too!
Did you know that different breeds need different amounts of exercise? I like a 60 minute on-leash-structured walk once a day. Then Susan sometimes throws my frisbee toy later on and I get to run, fetch and repeat for about 10 minutes. Both of these are good for body and doggie mind. I have to follow commands, stay focused, and I love it!
Here are a couple charts that show how much exercise each breed of pups need. You can click on the charts to see other articles on good canine exercise:
Now on the days Susan isn’t home, my pal Jordan takes me for a run around our house. We do this for about 10 minutes and I have the best time running ahead of his bike. Did you know that I can run almost 25 mph? Maybe faster! I am built to run! I’m one fast dogaroo! And I’m super relaxed and happy for the rest of the day. Here’s a of video of me running past Susan’s art studio and her garden.
Now you may be wondering what pet portraits Susan’s been painting lately. Check out her Instagram page @BarkArtPetPortraits to see all the recent paintings. But here are the most recent: “Leo the Lovable Bull Dog” and “Easter Chick.”
That’s all for this news-bark.
Keep your tail a waggin’!
Bark for now. Your pal, Mo
