Fun Facts & Spring Hikes
Hello again from your pal Mo! Susan has been taking me on some awesome hikes. The spring flowers are bloomin’ everywhere and that makes for happy trails! Here’s a picture of me in some flowers that Susan says are Lupines. It’s terrible how camera shy I am. I don’t know why, I just hate having my picture taken.
Fun K9 Fact: Did you know that us amazing dogs can see more than black and white? We can also see blue and yellow. Now Susan has been asking me if that mean I can also see green? The answer is … “Woof”. Yes I can but not like humans. My retinoids are missing the red cones, so I see green but not like a human.
Today we went for a hike at Cronan Ranch and the hills were covered with all sorts of flowers! I could smell them and a million other scents too. Here’s another fun fact about us canines: We have over 300 million scent receptors in our crazy noses. While Susan and other humans only have 5 million. So I can smell a lot more than you, ha ha. Susan also tells me I’m kinda smelly, but I don’t know what she’s talking about.
Here’s me with all the yellow common goldfield flowers on the hillside at Cronan Ranch. We also got to see a working dog herding sheep. He gave a bark out letting us know to stay away.
There are a lot of fun fact about us dogs. Here’s a little chart and there are a bunch more on the AKC website.
Here’s Susan most recent painting of a pup named Charlie. I sure wish I could play with some of the amazing dogs Susan gets to paint.
That’s all for this news-bark.
Keep your tail a waggin’!
Bark for now. Your pal, Mo
